Bamboo is very easy to care for, in general, this is the ideal method for caring for all of your clothing made of the natural fibres Bamboo, Hemp and organic Cotton. With these simple care/washing instructions your garments will continue to look great. 

Hand washing 

• Wash in cold or warm water - ensure the temperature does not exceed 30°C.
• Add a mild detergent — Choose an eco-friendly detergent free from bleach/brightening agents. 
• Wash gently — Turn the garment inside out and gently agitate it in the water. Avoid scrubbing or wringing, as this can damage the fabric.
• Rinse thoroughly — Rinse with clean water until all detergent is removed.
  

Machine washing

• Separate colours — Wash whites and light colours separately from dark or vibrant garments to prevent colour bleeding, which can be difficult to reverse.
• Use a delicates wash bag — These bags reduce friction during washing and help prevent pilling, the small fuzzy balls that can form on the fabric’s surface.
• Add a mild detergent — Choose an eco-friendly laundry detergent free from bleach, brightening agents, chlorine or fabric softeners, as they can degrade the fibres and lead to colour fading.
  Note : If using laundry detergent sheets, please ensure the laundry sheet is not sitting undiluted on the fabric as this can cause bleach like marks on the fabric. 
• Choose a gentle cycle — Set your machine to a cold or warm gentle cycle to protect the tender fibres. 
  If washing Bamboo with mixed fabrics we recommend always using a fabric washing bag to avoid possible pilling. 

• To get stains out of bamboo fabric avoid rubbing or scrubbing stained areas as this can break down the fibres, leaving the fabric looking worn and frayed. 
• We recommend using an enzyme-based stain remover and gently blot the stain. For tougher stains, soak the garment in a mild solution before washing. 
• Oil or grease: Sprinkle cornstarch or baking soda on the spot, let it sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb the oil, then dab with a small amount of gentle dishwashing soap and let it rest for another 5–10 minutes. Then wash as normal. 
• Food, coffee, or wine: Dab with a mild detergent or a 1:2 mixture of white vinegar and water, or apply a paste made from bicarbonate of soda and water.

To keep your Bamboo clothing in excellent condition we recommend it is best to air dry the fabric naturally on a clothesline out of direct midday sun or lay flat on a clean towel. 

• Keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. 
• If you must use a dryer, opt for a low-heat or air-dry setting to minimise potential harm.

You can tumble-dry Bamboo sheets and clothing, but only if you use the lowest temperature setting and do so in the shortest possible time. This will not only protect the fabric from shrinkage but also from possible damage. 

Proper storage of Bamboo underwear and clothing helps preserve its colour and smooth texture. It is very important to ensure the fabric is 100% dry before storing. Let your Bamboo pieces breathe by keeping them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid using plastic garment covers as they can trap moisture, leading to yellowing or even mildew. 

Overstuffed drawers can cause unnecessary creasing or stretching, so give your Bamboo underwear and clothing some space. 
If hanging your Bamboo garments, note that some stretching may occur for long garments. To avoid the length stretching for pants and skirts we recommend hanging the garment folded over a hanger, For tops, padded hangers are good to avoid shoulder stretching.
